Zakopane – CSC cross-country trail Pod Skocznią [At the Ski Jump].

It belongs to the Central Sports Centre (CSC) in Zakopane It is the only high-performance trail in the Podhale region with the FIS Homologation. This diverse trail, with its strong uphill paths and slopes is perfect for experienced cross-country skiers. But even beginners will find something for themselves: the trail has a flat loop to take the first steps. The trail meanders among ice rinks and three ski jump facilities, outside the area of pedestrian paths, which is a real advantage as it remains undamaged. Due to its location, it is the very spot where you can see athletes during training. The ticket office and toilets are located in the building adjacent to the ice rink (there is a fee for using the trail). There is also a ski rental shop but unfortunately, no cross-skiing instructor on duty. Only a small section of the trail gets covered with artificial snow; lack of lighting makes it impossible to ski after dark. A parking lot is located nearby. To get there from the railway station, take a bus towards Kuźnice, Olcza and Małe Ciche. Get off at the stop Rondo Jana Pawła II [John Paul II Roundabout], than walk approx. 300 m.
