Zakopane – western cross-country trails

These trails are beautifully situated, running just below the Regle mountain range on the western side of the Wielka Krokiew ski jump. The trails run both in the forest and the glades, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Pasmo Gubałowskie range.  The route consists of five diverse loops, both in terms of distance, namely, 1 km, 2 km, 3 km, 4km and 5 km, and the level of difficulty, which allows for various combinations. Here, beginners will find wide and flat sections and steep slopes, ideal for overcoming their fears, while more seasoned skiers can check their fitness running uphill and hone their skills on trail curves. Unfortunately, the trails can be easily damaged by pedestrians, children sledding and snowmobiles. The fact that there is no information billboard at the parking lot makes the trail somewhat difficult to find for skiers coming here for the first time. There is a ski rental place on the site but no instructor. The trails are refreshed on an ongoing basis after every snowfall, and every two days at longer intervals between precipitations. To get there from the railway station, take a bus towards Kuźnice, Olcza and Małe Ciche - get off at the stop Rondo Jana Pawła II [John Paul II Roundabout]. Then walk approx. 850 m to the entrance of Droga pod Reglami [The Road under Regle] trail.
