Zawoja

Zawoja is a well known holiday resort and has a lot to offer both in the winter and summer season. Its scenic location at the foot of the massif of Babia Góra, as well as good tourist infrastructure are a magnet for snow sports enthusiasts. Local ski runs will satisfy both beginners and advanced skiers. The town is also becoming increasingly popular with families with small children.

Getting there: You can reach Zawoja from Kraków either through Sułkowice and Sucha Beskidzka (a shorter route, but using narrow and winding roads: no. 7 to Głogoczów, no. 52 to Izdebnik, no. 956 to Zembrzyce, no. 28 to Maków Podhalański and no. 957 to Zawoja – 85 km), or through Myślenice and Jordanów (a longer route, but on a dual carriageway no. 7 all the way to Lubień, and then on roads no. 28 and 957 – 100 km).

MOSORNY GROŃ

Mosorny Groń ski Station in Zawoja offers a chairlift with the capacity of 2400 people per hour, smaller T-bar lifts and 1420 m of runs of varying difficulty. The runs are artificially lit and snow groomed. Several running tracks complete the offer for skiers. In close proximity of the upper and lower stations there are stylish buildings: a hotel, restaurants, a shop and a GOPR station. There is also a professional skiing school which provides full service.

Skomielna Czarna

The ski lift in Skomielna Czarna offers two snow groomed, artificially snowed and illuminated pistes of 700 m (medium difficult) and 100 m (“bunny slope”). At the slope, there is a free parking lot, ski equipment rental and snack bar, where you can eat a warm meal and take a rest. At the ski lift, there is a ski school. This offer is universal, regardless of the level of proficiency and age.

Wojtek

The Wojtek ski lift in Zawoja-Czatoża offers three T-bar ski-lifts and three pistes, artificially snowed, snow groomed and illuminated. The longest piste (red) is 900 m long, the other two pistes are 500 m (blue) and 200 m (green) long. An elevation difference for all pistes is 90 m. Slope users are taken care of by GOPR. Near the ski lift, there is a parking lot, ski equipment rental and restaurant with hot dishes and drinks.

Orawka

The Orawka ski lift is located in the village of Orawka, at the national road No. 7 from Krakow to Chyżne, about 80 km from Krakow. The resort has a T-bar lift of 450 m and two pistes of 450 and 550 m. The snowmaking system operates here and the pistes are artificially illuminated. At the lower station of the ski lift, there is a small lift for children. The resort also has a service, ski equipment rental and ski school.
